The Upper Tweenies Room

Our Upper Tweenies Room offers a calm, purposeful environment where children continue to build confidence, independence, and key skills in preparation for school. At this stage, children’s personalities and interests are developing rapidly, and we support this growth through a balance of structured and child-led experiences that encourage curiosity, cooperation, and early learning.

Children benefit from a variety of environments to explore, including time in our sensory room, which provides a peaceful space for calm exploration, and a physical room that supports movement and coordination. The main Upper Tweenies room also has free-flow access to our large outdoor areas, giving children opportunities to explore, learn, and play in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Our experienced team helps children develop essential early skills such as communication, social interaction, problem-solving, and independence — all important foundations for their next stage in education. Learning opportunities are woven throughout the day through purposeful play and early experiences in reading, writing, and mathematics.

The Upper Tweenies environment is designed to gently guide children towards being school ready, fostering confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning as they prepare for their transition into Reception.
