Our Extensive Outdoor Area

At The Parish Nursery, we are proud to offer an exceptionally large outdoor area designed to inspire exploration, creativity, and physical development. Children can enjoy a spacious tarmac area for bikes and scooters, as well as sand and water play, with an undercover hut for sheltered activities. Our large grassed area features an adventure trail where children can climb, balance, and develop their coordination and confidence.

We also have a garden plot, giving children the opportunity to plant and care for their own herbs and plants, fostering curiosity about nature and healthy eating. For quieter moments, our undercover decking area provides a cosy space where children can explore a range of resources, including books and sensory activities, in comfort while still enjoying the outdoors.

Exploring Beyond the Nursery

We believe learning doesn’t just happen within our nursery walls. Our children often enjoy local outings, visiting places such as supermarkets, care homes, the HALO, and local parks, helping them to engage with their community and learn through real-life experiences. We also take children on exciting trips further afield in our nursery minibus, including forest school events, sea-life centres, cinemas, farms, and larger parks, giving them opportunities to explore new environments, develop social skills, and make lasting memories.
