We believe that healthy eating is extremely important in the development of young children. We recognise that children should be able to enjoy food as well as learn good behaviours for the future. All meals are planned within a balanced nutritional diet and are freshly cooked on the premises. We cater for all types of dietary requirements and are committed to offering children healthy nutritious and balanced meals. We are mindful of individual dietary requirements such as vegetarianism and food intolerances.
We ask parents to inform us of these as early as possible. Menu's are carefully planned to provide children with their '5 a day.' Seasonal fruit and vegetables, and are presented to ensure mealtimes are an exciting, enjoyable experience for the children. Naturally, we avoid foods containing high levels of saturated fat, sugar, salt or artificial additives, flavourings, preservatives or colourings.
Menus are located in the reception area on the parent's information board, copies are available if required.
After meals children clean their teeth, this we feel is an important part about learning about healthy bodies. All lunches are prepared on the premises utilising our freshly grown vegetables and local suppliers to provide a nutritious freshly prepared meal for your children.
Milk and water are provided for all the children throughout the day. Babies under 12 months are provided with formula milk. If you are breast feeding your baby we can also store and prepare expressed milk for you.
